Uttar Pradesh Council of Agricultural Research (UPCAR), Lucknow

The UPCAR has been established on 14 June 1989 with its headquarters at Lucknow. Over the years it has developed expertise to find out solutions on the emerging problems related to agriculture and allied sectors in the state with the co-ordination of the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), ICAR and CSIR Institutes located in the state. Government of Uttar Pradesh has nominated UPCAR as Nodal agency for coordination, monitoring & evaluation of SAUs. It has established strong linkages with Government Departments and other institutions engaged in the fields of agriculture and allied sectors.

Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University (RLBCAU), Jhansi

RLBCAU has been established in 2014 by an Act of Parliament as an Institution on National Importance. RLBCAU has the key objectives to impart education in different branches of agriculture and allied sciences, undertake research and extension education and promote linkages with national and international academic institutions. The university has established different constituent colleges, namely, College of Agriculture, College of Horticulture & Forestry at Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh; and College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences and College of Fisheries at Datia in Madhya Pradesh. The third campus of the university is being established at Morena (MP).
