Uttar Pradesh Council of Agricultural Research (UPCAR), Lucknow

The UPCAR has been established on 14 June 1989 with its headquarters at Lucknow. Over the years it has developed expertise to find out solutions on the emerging problems related to agriculture and allied sectors in the state with the co-ordination of the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), ICAR and CSIR Institutes located in the state. Government of Uttar Pradesh has nominated UPCAR as Nodal agency for coordination, monitoring & evaluation of SAUs. It has established strong linkages with Government Departments and other institutions engaged in the fields of agriculture and allied sectors.

ICAR-Indian Sugarcane Research Institute (ISRI), Lucknow

The ICAR-Indian Sugarcane Research Institute (ISRI) owes its origin to the recommendations of the erstwhile Indian Central Sugarcane Committee for advanced research on all aspects of sugarcane. The foundation stone of the Institute was laid on 16 February 1952 under the control of Indian Central Sugarcane Committee. It was brought directly under the Central Government of India in January 1954 and later on it was entrusted to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in April 1969 along with other agriculture based research institutions. The Institute is an ISO 9001 accredited agency and has three regional stations for nationwide coverage of its activities.

Uttar Pradesh Gau Seva Aayog, Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh Gau Seva Aayog, headquartered in Lucknow, is a statutory body constituted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to promote cow protection, welfare and management across the state. The commission oversees and monitors gaushalas (cow shelters), advises the government on policies related to bovine welfare, and supports initiatives such as utilization of cow byproducts, natural farming promotion and rehabilitation of stray cattle, aiming to strengthen rural livelihoods and ensure better care of cattle in Uttar Pradesh.

International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics, ICRISAT, Hyderabad

The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) is a pioneering, internationally recognized International Organization committed to developing and improving dryland farming and agri-food systems to address the challenges of hunger, malnutrition, poverty, and environmental degradation affecting the 2.1 billion people residing in the drylands of Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and beyond. ICRISAT's headquarters are located in Asia (India), and the organization maintains offices across Eastern and Southern Africa, West and Central Africa.
